Teach students to build with AI, using the labs their schools already have, at no cost to the school.
Practical 30-minute sessions, run by people who use these tools for real work. Not a lecture about the future of technology.
About
Mashal (مشعل) is Urdu for torch. The name is the whole idea: the light isn't the point, passing it on is.
Our story
Ask a class of Pakistani teenagers whether they use AI and every hand goes up. Ask what they use it for, and the room says the same thing: homework. Essays. Summaries.
What's striking isn't the answer, it's that nobody in the room thinks the answer is odd. The most capable tool they'll ever be handed has been quietly filed away as a homework shortcut, and no one has told them otherwise.
Mashal exists to tell them otherwise. We're pre-launch: no sessions have run yet, and we'd rather say so than dress it up. What we have is a curriculum and schools worth bringing it to.
I use it for my homework.
, every classroom, every time
Mission & aim
Teach students to build with AI, using the labs their schools already have, at no cost to the school.
Practical 30-minute sessions, run by people who use these tools for real work. Not a lecture about the future of technology.
A generation that treats AI as something they direct, not something they ask.
Students who leave school able to make things with these tools, and who know a chatbox was only ever the front door.
Team
Mashal is small and new, which means whoever joins now shapes what it becomes.
Founder
[ Two or three lines, first person. What you do, why this gap bothered you enough to start something, and what a school head reading this should know about you. ]
Anyone useful
People who work with AI or tech, teachers who know how a classroom actually runs, designers, anyone who can help Mashal reach more schools.
